Safeguarding Information
Safeguarding is at the heart of all we do and refers to the process of protecting children to provide safe and effective care. This includes all procedures designed to prevent harm to a child.
What is child protection?
Child Protection is part of the safeguarding children process, protecting individual children identified as suffering or likely to suffer significant harm. This includes the child protection procedures which detail how to respond to concerns about a child.
Who is responsible?
Safeguarding children is everyone's responsibility. All staff are trained on induction and regularly throughout the year to ensure that we know what to look out for and how to report any concerns. We have several Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) at each school.
How should you pass on a concern?
If you are concerned about a child then you can come into one of the schools and ask to speak to a Designated Safeguarding Leader (DSL). Alternatively, you could contact children's services directly.

We teach pupils to keep safe through our PHSE curriculum and our computing curriculum. Pupils also have assemblies based around keeping safe and speaking out. We have a link with the NSPCC who come into both schools to lead assemblies and workshops. Pupils are encouraged to speak to an adult or one of our pastoral leads if they need to.
